The 901 combines proximity, keypad , fingerprint , and tcp with POE in one unit. There are over 50 different operating modes supporting pin+finger input, prox+finger input, and finger only input. The reader can be run in a stand alone mode or online mode. In the stand-alone mode, the reader can make access decisions without being connected to a computer, and background downloading allows you to download information into the reader without having to take the reader offline. In the online mode, the 901 can transmit prox, keypad, and finger data to a host system for further processing. The 901 can also be connected directly to a controller using magstripe, wiegand, wand, or wieaba interfaces, allowing fingerprint scanning to be easily inegrated into existing hardware and systems. Additional features include an internal relay, scheduling, RTE and door autolock functions, external reader support for connecting barcode or magstrtipe readers, options for users with disabilities, and a user-replaceable keypad and finger sensor.
