The Smart Mag AV is a Stand Alone magnetic stripe reader for Age Verification use.

The reader can be programmed with two different age limits. Whenever an AAMVA standard driver's license in scanned in the reader, the reader checks the birth date on the license against the two programmed age limits, and informs the user if the license holder's age is below the programmed limits. 

The Smart Mag AV is a perfect solution for verifying ages in retail environments where ages need to be verified, such as for tobacco and alcohol purchases.

The reader can also store the drivers license information, along with the date and time of the scan, to be used as an audit trail. This audit trail information can be uploaded into a PC at any time.
